So, I need some ways to increase my FPS. I don't have the best computer for gaming, but I think I deserve higher than 14 FPS normal. I have tried numerous methods that I see in youtube videos, and the forums on here, but to no avail. When I look up in the sky, I have about 60-80 FPS, so now I resort to travelling everywhere just looking up. I need someone to save me from this.
I run the game at the lowest possible settings, lol. And I have a laptop that I got a while back that I'm playing on that has: Intel Pentium P6100 2.00 GHz, yes I know it's terrible, and I have 4 gb of RAM, 32 bit operating system, Windows 7 Ultimate.
Setting javaw.exe's Process Priority to Realtime via Task Manager along with allocating more memory to Minecraft has helped boost frame rates for me, but I'm guessing you've already tried that.
14fps on the lowest settings sounds odd...the only time the game's ever ran that bad for me was when I played it on a netbook with an Intel Atom and 1GB RAM.

I'm gonna buy a cheap bouquet before it dies on the display.

My task manager won't allow me to set my java priority to realtime, it instead puts it on high. And I don't think allocating more RAM to Minecraft actually helps, because you're just giving it more RAM to use if it needs it, but I have less than 1gb of RAM allocated right now, and it doesn;t even use that.
I've seen worse computers run Minecraft faster (believe me, I owned one much worse than yours), I'm not sure exactly what the issue is, but here's a few things to try that people don't usually tell you
- set you computer's power mode to "balanced" or "high performance", power saver mode can cut your FPS in half
- open task manager and sort by CPU usage, and see what programs other than Minecraft are taking up a lot of the CPU
- run a virus scan just to be sure, viruses can be CPU hogs
Not sure if these will help, but give them a shot!
I would recommend installing Optifine if you haven't already. Also, I would not recommend running a process such as Minecraft in Realtime unless you know what your getting into. High should be more than enough priority if you want to boost it.
I don't think I would have a virus, because I recently got a new hard drive for this computer, because the other one was ed. I'm pretty sure I installed all my drivers again, so that wouldn't be the problem I don't think. I set my computer to high performance yesterday, and not really too much happened. I ended the process tree of many programs that were taking up cpu and that didn't help either :(.
I get good fps if I'm mining really far underground, but it seems like every time I go around somewhere where someone has placed a lot of blocks, my fps drops a lot, like yesterday I hit 0 fps in the spawn of the server I was on and wanted to kill myself. And also, I did install optifine, and it really helped the first day but then it pretty much went back to normal after that.

It's probably around three years old xD
