Ok So i've had Minecraft for a good while now and the last time I've played was around 1.7.2 and it ran fine on the vanilla game. But I only just recently tried to play it again because I just got the urge to play my own survival game again. But anyway I have my game set to use the latest version, so I was playing on the newest snapshot and when I opened the game I went for the tree next to me and started punching it. The block broke and then reapeared instantly and no matter how many times I broke it, it kept coming back. I decided to break three of them in a row to see what would happen then after about 10 seconds they finally broke. I thought it was the sanpshots fault so I kept going down versions and each one had a the same problem. Is anyone else having this problem and if so is there a fix yet?
If your world got corrupted you can try to repair it with MCEdit. Open the offending world in MCEdit, press 'ctrl-i' and select 'Repair regions' in the dialogue which pops up. Once this has completed, save your world and exit MCEdit.
