I got the shaders mod but it dropped my FPS to 15-30 and I hated it. I looked for a way to fix it withought turning down settings. I found that you can dedicate more ram to minecraft, but when I did so it didnt work. My computer says I have 8 GB of RAM and 7.47 GB usable. When I dediated 6gb, my game came up with this error: "Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine. Error: A fatal exception has occured. Program will exit." When I did 2 or 3 GB it would close the launcher as if it were switching to minecraft but it only reopened the launcher. I went to mojang live support chat and a guy told me to reinstall java because I had 32bit instead of 64bit. When I did so I wasn't given the option between them. It still doesn't work. How can I fix this? If this isn't fixable or won't work, is there anyother way to boost FPS withought adding something to your computer or turning down settings? If not, what specs should I upgrade and is there any video that will show me how to do that on a laptop?
Be sure to select Windows Offline (64-bit).
I already have java installed. Do I need to remove that java in order to get this one or will this one download ontop of it?
