Well, today my creative world was corrupted and My last backup is very out of date (it's 2 weeks old and I made a LOT of changes since).
It was ran earlier on the 14W26b snapshot (minus all my redstone breaking, which I fixed/patched). However, when I went to open it later in 14W26c, I found large amounts of my world was gone (turned to air) in a very "patchy" way. Per chunk (or so it seems), only certain blocks are affected.
After trying a few snapshot versions, I concluded that the world is the problem... I opened it with MCEdit and found the outlines are there, and the missing blocks have thier block ID's incorrect. Like say, in the infield of a dirt racing track I built, I simulated a painted grass logo with some carpet... the data values are correct but the IDs shows as 2731... yeah, pretty high.
Is there a known fix for this (like find every corupted block type and somehow blanket replace it w/o resetting data values) or is this my cue to start a new world (or quit wussing out with creative?) JK on the latter...
