Can't see in water! :C

Hey everyone, I've encountered a problrem. I was playing on Minecraft 1.7.9 and I wanted to go into a smexy pool but when I dived in I could see nothing but a white screen with the squiggly water texture thingy

(What a "great" view, I can see "everything"!)

The development console gives me these constant three lines of text

Remove your helmet. If that doesn't work, remove all your armor. It's a glitch due to armor with the respiration enchantment.
