Minecraft forge isnt working, when i click edit profile i click on forge and then when i press play it crashes, or just says error. can someone please help e, or tell me what i did wrong? also, i have tried using the profie forge but it does the same thing.

All I can ask is did you install everything right?
what version of forge are you using?
minecraft version?
what mods are you trying to install?

well i dont know what version of forge, but its minecraft 1.7.9 and i tryed to get the furniture mod.

Well, there is no forge for 1.7.9 .. you need to use the latest forge version, which is for 1.7.2 i believe, with minecraft 1.7.2 . cant use forge 1.7.2 with mc 1.7.9 . same with the mod

How are you even making Forge start on 1.7.9? You can't install it except onto 1.7.2. Then you can only run your mods through your Forge profile in the launcher...



Also, make sure you're running the recommended Forge build from the Forge website. After that, make sure your downloaded mods are all the 1.7.2 versions and that they don't conflict with one another. You can do this by installing them one-by-one, opening Minecraft after each to make sure.

thats what i was wondering lol. its no wonder its not working, hes using a non existant version of forge and trying to use it on a different version with a mod

ok sheesh i got it mixed up its 1.7.2 forge. now whenever i click play it says downloading, and then i have to click play again, and it downloads another forge thing.
