Yes, it was definitely a not-so-smart idea to do a windows update (to 8.1 from 8) while messing with mods. Well, I clicked a button I didn't think would actually remove my mods... well, it restarted, then now they were out of their folder, and it was a mess. Luckily, though, all the files still remained on my computer. It was a long process to drag the folders to the mods folder I had to recreate, so I copied and pasted. Whew, what a relief. Unfortunately, I crashed, and only with the mods that... I copied and pasted.

So, will I have to drag the folders, or is there an alternative way to fix it? Thanks! I use 64 bit Java, on a 1 1/2 year old Toshiba 8.1 (version 8 until I updated about a week ago).
EDIT: I deleted the copied and pasted files, dragged them in via downloads folder, and they're still a reason of the crash. Plus, those are about 9/10 of the mods I have. I'd hate to lose them all, then reinstall them. Are my files corrupt or something?
Ok, but keep in mind it's just the copied folders, but I did try 1) "unblocking" them because they were a "file from another computer" (another operating system), no luck, and 2) Dragging the folder in the mods folder. No luck. I'll try re-installing it. Also, I got the latest version, not the recommended version. I'll try latest.

Thanks! I use 64 bit Java, on a 1 1/2 year old Toshiba 8.1 (version 8 until I updated about a week ago).
EDIT: I deleted the copied and pasted files, dragged them in via downloads folder, and they're still a reason of the crash. Plus, those are about 9/10 of the mods I have. I'd hate to lose them all, then reinstall them. Are my files corrupt or something?
