Problem with Minecraft Launching

When I tried to start up Minecraft today, it would not open, I tried reinstalling both Java and Minecraft but it did not work, can anyone help me?

As in, the launcher will not show up at all?

If so, please remove all mentions of Java from the machine via the control panel. Reboot, then grab the latest here,
http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Please grab the 64-bit version if you have a 64-bit OS.

I followed your instructions, but it still does not work! Is the problem with my PC then? and yes, the launcher does not even open
