I recently updated my Nvidia Driver, i did it carefully to make sure the information is correct. I install it and went to play a game that requires Java, Minecraft. When i opened it, it loaded and frozed and said "Java(TM) SE Binary has stopped working."
It was running fine before I update my Driver, but the reason why I updated it is because the FPS keeps on dropping in the middle of multiplayer gameplay. I thought that updating it would be better, why not? I trust Nvidia on my PC.
Specs:
Lenovo Y570 64 Bit
Intel i7
500GB HDD
8GB RAM
Nvidia 555m
:1: Ok i Uninstalled Java and installed it and the gave finally launches but when i press play it does "Could not create Virtual Machine" Oh silly me, i remember that Java 32 bit only allows 1.5 GB, i'll install 64 bit.
:2: I have installed 64 bit java, but it gets back to this error: "Java(TM) SE Binary has stopped working." Awww. D':
:3: Hmm... The heavily modded pack of the game works but still I want to play Vanilla not moddy pack ex. Technic Launcher.. Man my game is at 20 fps stable, no drops and won't go up, better than the 60 fps to 5, I might have to live with playing 20 fps..
This was also posted on the official site where I got my laptop. **Feeling bored and sad not playing minecraft.. what a bad choice I made to update my driver.. :,(
The previous driver was not deleted and it was recommended not to delete it because you can restore it, *but I don't know how.
I have the same laptop and the same problem. I can start up the launcher by running it with my integrated graphics, but I can't start the launcher with Nvidia card or I get the java SE binary error. I backed up to a driver from 5/26/2014, but still have the same problem. Hopefully someone finds out how to fix this soon...
