I have been on minecraft for a straight day today and I got minecraft about two years ago. When i was on a minecraft server, minecraft just closed without any crash reports or errors. I tried to open it again and it shows up for not even a second and closes, again without any crash reports or errors. I have tried to reinstall java and that did not work. I looked at a post about bad anit virus software and i have McAfee and i dont know if that is the problem but if it is, i do not want to buy another anti virus system. Please help me

Hello, ADkiller369!

Make sure your antivirus isn't blocking Minecraft. If that is not the case, go to your .minecraft folder (C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft) and backup all of your saves, resource packs, etc. And then delete the .minecraft folder. That way next time you launch Minecraft it will regenerate that folder to default, getting rid of any errors, then you can put your saves and stuff back. Let me know how it works, good luck!

How would i back up the files? would i just copy and save them to different place?

I dont have the password to my anti_virus system but i will get it. While i was doing that, I deleted the .minecraft folder and that didnt work, when i go to download it from mineraft.net, i sign in and hit download off to the side. The screen, like i said earlier, comes up and closes. I will try the security thing.

I tried researching the problem a bit, have you installed any mods or anything? Or are you using any external Minecraft tools while playing or to launch?

I used to have tekkit but i deleted this after it crashed my computer a lot

Try launching the game again, only after it crashes this time, go back to your .minecraft folder and go in the "crash-reports" folder, and open the crash report, and paste the contents here.
