I've reached my extents to using google, and thus, I turn to you, smart folks of /modded/ - please, please, ajudame.

I CAN join vanilla servers, and I can log in to technic launcher.

I CAN'T log into any modded server, apparently. I've tried a random Voltz, a random AOTBT, and my regular server.

And this time it's NOT the session status on xpaw.ru, or help.mojang.com - I've checked both for the last 5 days constantly - always green.

So far Google has told me it's between my PC and the server, and 403 says that autenthication was refused -> But why could I play previously?

You may have a problem with your hosts file, which overrides DNS queries. Please follow the following directions:
Press Win+R. In the window that appears, enter %SystemRoot%\System32\drivers\etc, and press Enter. In the window that appears you will see a file, 'hosts'. Open that file in Notepad, copy the contents and paste them in spoiler tags:

[SPOILER]hosts file contents here[/SPOILER]

I've also edited the hosts file to contain the proper minecraft IP (or so some thread on google has claimed), so my hosts file was simply:


(I put it in spoiler tags so I don't show some kind of disrespect :P)

ED: I visited the help IRC, but since it's not for modded clients i was shooed away
At least they told me my hosts file contains some rubbish, so I've removed the IP, and it's empty now

I've also already tried reinstalling the pack \ mod
