I need some help with the minecraft .exe. It has always worked for me, but whenever I tried to run it today, it did not run at all. I would click the .exe and run it. I went to the website to run it, and it still didn't work. Nothing happened when I ran it, no pop-ups or anything.
Then, later, a popup appeared saying "An error occurred during startup. Access denied.". I really don't know why it is doing this, and I've already uninstalled and re-installed my java. It just did the same thing. I really need help with this, if anyone can link me to a help guide or they can help me themselves?
Also, I went to the properties of .minecraft, and check the "Hidden" box and applied the attribute to folders and subfolders of .minecraft. The took away the pop-up, but now running the .exe does not work.
EDIT: I looked around some forums, and they said running it through tekkit would work. However, tekkit is doing the same thing.
You need to reinstall Java.
First, go to Programs and Features in Control Panel (Add and Remove Programs on XP). Uninstall everything that says Java in the name. Then, go to http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp to re-install Java.
