When I load up my saved singleplayer world, everything freezes.. The animals/mobs don't move, cant access any chests/crafting tables/furnaces. And when i try to quit and restart minecraft, it puts moves my character back to the place i started upon launch the first time, no matter how much i moved before quiting the first time.. Please help!?
If your world got corrupted you can try to repair it with MCEdit. Open the offending world in MCEdit, press 'ctrl-i' and select 'Repair regions' in the dialogue which pops up. Once this has completed, save your world and exit MCEdit.
You may also need to remove entities from your map. Open the map in MCEdit, select the affected region or use CTRL-A to select the whole world, then click on 'Delete Entities' in the menu on the left hand side. Please note that this remove all entities, including tamed animals.
To download MCEdit, go to http://www.mcedit.net/ and choose the version appropriate for your OS.
