As the topic title. my Ftb Direwolf is so lagging.. i have fps of below 40 and that is the highest.. and its keep moving up and down so.. my games is soooo lagging.. have no problem at all with the vanila minecraft. stable 60 fps without optifine. Of course i close all the apps like chrome etc.. so when i want to run ftb my ram load is on 30%.. but when run the ftb after load the world.. my ram load is 98%.
when there are some lagg more then 3-6 second my console said something about SERVER OVERLOAD. and did the system time change
My spec
Intel i5 3470 3.20 ghz
4 gb ram
Sapphire HD 7770
os Win 7 Ultimate.
All driver is updated, i use optifine, use the Additional Java Parameters done a bit not much.
Have you tried to delete optifine put all your video setting on Low and play?
or
Add more RAM to Minecraft.
Also make sure you got Java 64-bit selected for Minecraft.
Thanks for the reply.. yeah of course.. before i install optifine i play it for 1 weeks.. with much more lag.. then with the optifine..
my java is 64 bit.. and updated too the newest one.. and what from i read better too put half of the ram to game.. rather then increase.. it.. but i do put more ram to it like 2.50gb but still having lag..
yeah. ofc.. i already experiment with increasing dedicated ram.. i put it to 3. 75 gb which are the maximum. a bit better but still lag like hell.. and quiting ftb took twice the waiting time.. and nearly 5 minute to wait.. for my pc to work properly again.
Have you tried giving ftb less ram? Because when you give it more ram then the actually is, because it is already used by other programs/processes, it starts writing to your hard drive, and that is slow...

i usually give the ftb 2gb no other program are running before i want to play ftb.. i make sure it with task manager and make sure the ram is running below 30% load.. btw does 2 Chunkloader and 2 portal effect the game that much?.. my game became more laggy if i enter any portal.. not the portal to the nether but the portal from the portal gun.. maybe i break all the portal and the chunk loader to see any positive effect..
40 FPS is fine. I'd only start worrying if you were in the 10s or 20s.
40fps if its stable i had no problem at all.. with some spikes sometimes.. still no problem.. but 40fps with spike 5-7s.. and sometimes 10s of freeze that not very good..
