Hello. I am using a mod called resonant Engine which is causing my game to crash on startup. I am looking for help on how to fix it. As you can probably see if you read my crash log, I have quite a large amount of mods installed. I am positive that the problem is Resonant Engine, as Minecraft runs perfectly with every mod except that one.
Someone informed me that I was getting this error because I have an outdated version of Java. If you read the log and believe otherwise, let me know. They told me that I needed Java version 1.7 or higher. However, I have java version 1.7.0_55. However, looking in the Minecraft log says that I have version 1.6.0_31. I have checked in several ways to make sure I have the updated version, so I don't think I installed it wrong. If anyone knows why this mod is crashing, even with the new version of java, and they know how to fix it, any help would be extremely appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Looks like you're trying to run an older version of Atomic Science with a new Resonant Engine core mod. I think that recently Atomic Science was discontinued as a separate mod and merged with one of the Resonant Induction modules.
You can try finding one of the older Calclavia Core versions or try running a recent Resonant Induction built.
I don't have Atomic Science installed. In fact as of that crash log, no mods that require Resonant Engine are installed, and I'm pretty sure that I have the most recent stable version.
I wouldn't mention Atomic Science if it I haven't seen it in the log. Which means it was installed when the log was generated.

I think I might have put the wrong crash log up. I used to have atomic science installed, but I removed it to see if resonate engine still crashed without it. I changed the paste bin link in the original post to link to the right crash log.
On a Mac the Minecraft Launcher has to be manually configured to use newer versions of Java.
Ohhhh! It all makes sense now! Thank you a lot! I looked for a while I couldn't find tutorials on how to do that. Could you tell me how to do that or at least give me a good link? If not I'll try and keep looking. Maybe I'm not phrasing it right for google.
There are some better instructions in ChickenBone's (NEI author) thread (somewhere in the last 50 or so pages, it gets mentioned often). Basically there's an option in Minecraft Launcher profile editor labeled "Executable". You need to enable it and edit the the path to where your Java 7 JRE/JDK is installed.
That's about all I remember. I don't have access to a Mac to get better details.
I went there and I saw some posts made by you and someone named Plurp pertaining to this issue. I had to change the path of the executable. I changed it to "/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin/Contents/Home/bin/java", but it still crashed. (I'm not and idiot, I didn't put the quotes in as part of it.) It looked to me like a very similar, if not identical, crash log, but here it is, just in case it is different.
So yeah, by now I'm out of ideas. You'll probably have to ask Calclavia about this.
Where do I go to ask him? Resonant Engine doesn't have a Minecraft Forum post. I tried posting an issue on it's GitHub, but I don't think Calclavia himself looks at those, and everyone else who posted there was extremely unhelpful.
Yeah, the upper post looks pretty abandoned, and the bottom one was where I went before. Everyone there was extremely unhelpful. I think now that you are probably right about what the problem is, so I will creat a topic centered around that issue rather than the more general one of the mod crashing, and maybe people who come to that will know how to fix it. Look, if you're constantly crashing because you're running Resonant Engine solo, (without any other Calclavia's mod) maybe you could try adding some some mod that actually requires it. Maybe this core mod can't work normally solo.
And if you don't want to use any of other Calclavia's mods, why are you keeping his core-mod in your pack?
No, I do WANT to use other Calclavia mods, I just installed a few of them, and then removed them to see if it was one of the mods of if it was Resonant Engine itself. So yes, I Have used it with other mods that actually require it.
Where can I find the config file of Resonant Engine?? I can't find it in the config folder in .minecraft.....................................................

Umm...my problem was that I don't know how to do that. inecraft doesn't work without Java 6, and Resonant engine isn't working with Java 7.
