Hello, I have spent months trying to research this problem. Never really got anywhere.
First, my rig. I have an AMD 4130 Quad core, 16G RAM(4G allocated to the Technic client), Nvidia GeForce Gtx 650 Ti graphics card.
Now, I didn't have this problem when I first started playing. Don't know what happened to make it start doing this. Basically, every time I log on, I have to open the task manager and set the affinity from all of the boxes checked(all four cores) to only the first core. I have tried to set the "Threaded Optimization: to all settings in the Nvida Control Panel, but the only solution seems to be Ctrl-Alt-Del and set the affinity on Java after I open MC. If I don't do this, the game gets very...choppy. It isn't lag. It's like I am constantly teleporting to a spot 5-15 feet in front of me when I'm just trying to walk. I'll fall into holes and off cliffs. It took me almost 2 months just to find the affinity "solution". I know MC has been optimized for multicore processors in the lastea few years. I have also noticed most of the forums that I find with issues similar to mine are at least 2-3 years old with no new/recent updates. I've had this problem with 2 gfx cards, 2 MoBos, and 2 Processors.
It HAS to be a hardware issue. I keep everything updated and running smooth. I don't OC, I haven't modded any of my settings. My rig is just boring old factory settings.This also happens on the Vanilla client just the same as the Technic client.
