I installed Forge a few weeks ago, and I just realized that I had the mods I wanted in the wrong folder like a n00b...I moved them into my AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\mods folder, along with the Forge launcher, and tried to play. When I get to the launcher, I select the Forge profile and hit Play. The launcher goes away, and then a couple seconds later it just brings up the launcher again instead of the Mojang screen. The game launches fine when I use my regular and OptiFine profiles, but not when I use Forge. I've tried changing the version from the 1.7.2 Forge one to just 1.7.2, and I've deleted the Forge profile and used the executable jar file to create the profile again, but nothing works and it still won't launch the game when I try to use Forge. Any suggestions??
i love playing on the sphax texture pack but i just downloaded optifine. With optifine and sphax i crash everytime i lauch (well try to launch).I went back to the normal minecraft texture pack and optifine and minecraft work fine but the normal texture pack looks so weird and i like the sphax texture pack more. Can anyone tell me how to mack optifine and Sphax texture pack work together.

I deleted and re-installed NEI and Voxelmap (the only two mods I had). I also deleted the Forge executable file and the Forge profile and installed the 1.7.2 recommended installer from the Forge website. I was able to execute the mod installers just fine, but I'm still having problems actually launching the game with the Forge profile. Now, however, instead of just opening the launcher a few seconds after I click play, it just does nothing. It doesn't freeze my computer or anything, but as far as Minecraft is concerned, nothing happens. My other profiles still work fine.

I deleted and re-installed NEI and Voxelmap (the only two mods I had). I also deleted the Forge executable file and the Forge profile and installed the 1.7.2 recommended installer from the Forge website. I was able to execute the mod installers just fine, but I'm still having problems actually launching the game with the Forge profile. Now, however, instead of just opening the launcher a few seconds after I click play, it just does nothing. It doesn't freeze my computer or anything, but as far as Minecraft is concerned, nothing happens. My other profiles still work fine.
I just barely tried launching the Forge profile, so I think this should be the log file you were saying to post:
