I apologize if this question comes up a lot. I scanned a few pages here and didn't seem to find anything to my problem. I'm have a little bit of trouble installing mods. This is really my first time attempting to install mods, but even with following tutorials to the T, I just can't seem to get it to work. I've only tried 2 builds of Forge, the first being I believe 1099, and the second being 1060. I haven't attempted with latest one. The only steps I've done where to download Forge, install client, switch my profile to Forge, and that's it.
The mods I've downloaded came from here, and I look for 1.7.2 mods. As far as the installation for the mods I've downloaded, the instructions where to drag and drop the mod into your mod folder (drag and drop the .jar, or leave the zip file unzipped). I do that, start the game, and look in the Mod tab, however the mod doesn't show up in the Mods tab. I only see the 3 mods that comes with Forge. I switched to 1060, repeated the steps, and same results. I tried FML 1.7.2/1.7.9, and the game won't even load.
Is it a compatibility issue with the mods? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, and just can't figure this out. I should mention that my .minecraft folder isn't under %appdata%>roaming, but rather under Curse Client in my Documents.
