I have spent a couple hours trying to figure this out, looking about the internet and such, and I can't seem to figure out what the problem is.
When I enable JVM Arguments and add either -Xmx or -Xms, I get a graphical glitch with my shaders. I also get the error: "Failed creating framebuffer! (Status <number>)" in chat when I either switch from no shaders to shaders, or already have shaders enabled when I start the game.
Here is a screenshot of what I see:
I have tried it both in singleplayer and multiplayer and get the same problem. Just a black screen with a sun glare when I am looking at what would be a sun. Note this screenshot is taken using chocapic13's shaders but I get the same problem with any shader. I have the latest java installed to and my computer is more than able to handle the shaders, it works when I don't allocate more ram.
I figure out my own problem. I guess the automatic java download chooser thing thought I was on a 32-bit machine but after manually downloading the 64-bit version, it works just fine.
