I've been trying to install my first mod, Lots O Mobs mod on a MacBook Pro. Running OS 10.7.5.
I was able to download and install Forge, to Minecraft version 1.7.2. That's installed and running. When I download the LOM mod, I get "LotsOMobs Mod Installer 1.6.4.exe," which won't run to install the program, so I can't even get to the part about adding it to a mods folder.
I am very very new to Minecraft so I need this laid out in very simple step by step terms! Am I using the wrong version of Minecraft to install this mod? Is there something particular to trying to install this file on Mac?
Have you tried going to skydaz.com. They have launcher that automatically installs mod for you! Find the mod you want and click Download Here .exe and start that up!
Ummm - thanks grimallq. Honestly I don't know, I thought that's where I had downloaded it from, but now I just did it again and got the 1.7.2 jar file. So now this just goes in the mods folder?
