I can play on max settings with 50ish fps. That suggests that I play on a decent computer. I have optifine, and no other mods. How can I reduce world edit lag on minigame servers? (phanaticmc server to be exact)

Basically there are 3 areas being reset about every 5 mins, and they aren't even huge. I would have thought that this lag wouldn't happen on this computer, but it does. And the lag lasts for a good 5-10 secs. What are some things I would possibly do to reduce this lag?

That's a very decent build, I have know idea why you are only getting 50 FPS? I have the amd fx-8350 which only has 2 more cores and .2 more ghz and I get around 250 FPS and on void worlds 500-1000FPS! So i'm not sure why this could be happening to you.

Do you have a GPU?

I had a similar problem to you and it was because I had 32bit Java installed on my 64bit system.

I had this problem too but I didn't notice it until I got my new rig, I was trying to play FTB on 32bit, I would lagged and crash.
