Hey guys, i've been having this problem for about a month now. I used to be able to play on my friend's server, but recently i get this this intense "lag." What happens is when I destroy blocks, they would pop back up, normally two or three at a time, or when fighting monsters, they would freeze for a few seconds and then suddenly teleport to me while I take about 5 or so hits from them all at once. I know this issue is not FPS related, I usually get around 150-200 (i can take a screenshot with fraps if you really need) and my speedtest result (whilse connected to the server in question) gave me 9 ping and 28 down. This happens constantly while im on the server and renders the game unplayable. No one else on the server is having problems.
What I've done so far:
Reinstall both java x32 and x64,, first one, then the other, then both
reinstall minecraft
search the internet for solutions, all of which netted me no usable solutions.
Does this happen to other servers? Does it happen in singleplayer? If it only happens on your friend's server then your player profile might be corrupt. Ask someone to teleport you to a different location, far away from where you are right now and see if it still persists.

Yes it does happen on other servers, i tried a few out and the same thing seems to be happening.
When was the last time you gave your modem/router and quick break? Try turning it off and letting it sit for 15 minutes or so and try again, what you described is a connection issue. If that is not the problem then it might be your computer and its configurations. Confirm by trying to connect on other computers if you have other computers in your household.
I have personally had this issue before and have had the problem for months on end. For me it was because of my internet connection, where when I tried to use a different one (say, data connection from my phone), it would go away. The problem you are facing may be something similar.
Further research tells me why it behaves that way, it is because the client is constantly downloading data from the server and never being able to "catchup" and perform the task in real time where these issues will not be presenting themselves. I hope you can resolve the issue as well, I do not have much else to offer as advice sadly.
