minecraft fullscreen problem

i just got minecraft on my computer i started playing and went to visual setting turned on fullscreen then the game went clear and i could see my desktop. i tried restaring minecraft and my computer. nothing worked. can some1 please help?

You may need to reset your Minecraft settings to default. To do so, open your .minecraft directory and delete the file called 'options.txt'.

To get at Minecraft's locally stored files using the launcher, start the launcher. Press Edit Profile, then Open Game Dir.
