Launcher won't launch

Okay so, I have just updated my version of Java. Right now I am using my Mac OS X version 10.5.8 with 2.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. Basiclly, if I click on the launcher nothing happens. Their is no change. You can't tell that I even clicked it. I have a feeling that this has to do with me just installing a new version of Java and, I can not downgrade my version of Java. Someone, please help. Thanks in advance.

NoIt opens but, nothing appears.
