I am unable to play minecraft. Every time I try to open a singleplayer map or join a server, my client closes. I have deleted MC and re-installed. Several times. I have rebooted my computer and I have tried using different versions of MC. I don't know what to do. Please help.

EDIT: This problem occurs only on one computer. I have occasional access to another computer. It does not have the same problem. I don't know if this is relevant. What is really confusing is that if this is a local (this computer) then deleting all minecraft-related files and reinstalling should have fixed the issue. But what do I know?

I looked up how to reset my settings on Google because I could not find the options.txt (I even ran a search for it). I ended up just deleting bin and versions. Removing those did not seem to fix the problem. Any other suggestions or how to find options.txt?

I was already inside the .minecraft folder. It was not in there. I even ran a search both before I opened .minecraft and after I got there I ran another search. Could it be hiding inside a folder? If so, which one?

You need to edit your options in minecraft for it to show up.
