First off, my stats:
AMD Radeon HD 7850
AMD 8350 Processor, 4.1 GHz, 8 cores
16 GB RAM, 4 GB allocated for Minecraft, I made sure that was penty.
Java 7.55 64 bit
Driver Version: 14.4
Sure, it isn't an insane build, but most games still play on ultra with 60 fps.
Problem:
I started playing again after Version 1.6.4 and I knoticed I was taking a massive performance hit. The framerate was dropping to unacceptable 30 fps half the time, and at it's best it was hovering around 45-50 fps. I checked if it was a problem with my hardware, but the card was not going over 25% workload and the CPU was hovering over 30-50%. I halved the rendering distance without any effect. I remember playing one of the heavy FTB bundles back in 1.6.4 and it never dropped below 60 fps. Has anyone else had the same problem?
My comp isn't a top one, but it's still good enough to play most games on max graphics settings too but I noticed my fps are not stable as they were before, I reduced the view distance and particles and my fps still drop (from like 90 to 30, sometimes less, before this last update I could play with FPS ranging from 100 to 150)..
My friend has a computer a little weaker than mine, but with a NVIDIA graphics card (I use AMD) and he has the same drops.
A friend of mine plays on a computer that is better than mine and has drops too..
