Hi everyone, I am hoping one of you computer geniuses can help me out with a problem I have that is very frustrating. So I have a windows 8 pc and 1.7.9 version minecraft on PC and I want to download a resource pack but every time I go to open it on my desktop it say it is invalid, or empty, the point being it is not working. And this is for all resource packs not just from one website. I have watched many youtube tutorials on how to install them, I follow them correctly and they wont work. Computer says the file is empty or invalid. This is so frustrating to me and I hope someone can help me. Than you everyone sooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!!!

Do you have winrar or 7-zip? because you need it to install texture packs.

Are you unzipping the file? If so don't do that because Minecraft will not accept folders, only .zip

Look in the folder sometimes the resource zip is in side the downloaded folder.
