So I just bought minecraft today off of the website and it's a shame that it's like that twenty seven dollars has gone to waste because it doesn't work. I try to run it and all it says is:
Bootstrap (v5)

Hey, I have seen a couple other people saying that the current recommended build of Java 7 does not work for minecraft. I have heard that the beta Java 8 works. You can download it here: http://www.oracle.co...ds-2133155.html
Didn't find a version compatible with my computer but it's fine because the problem's solved. For anyone who's having a related trouble with me, here's my solution:
Click start and in the search bar, type in run.
Open run and type in "%appdata%".
Find .minecraft and delete it, alternatively you can rename it as minecraft_old.
Try running minecraft once again.

Help please? I've also already tried flushing my DNS and reinstalling Java, my Java is up to date.
