I've had this world for at least a year. Last night I stopped playing long enough to talk to my son. When I turned back to the game, I had an error screen telling me that java had run out of memory. I had two choices ~ go back to game or exit. I exited because it was late anyway.... Today, my world won't open.
Here's my crash log report ~~

I'm in this world everyday, there are only 3 Millenaire villages however & I have it set to not interact with other millenaire villages. I don't really build alot either. I believe I have probably 20 structures. The world is large biomes though & I have rail set up all over the place going from minecraft village to minecraft village to minecraft village. My main build in in the mines. I love to clean out / fashion underground mines. I don't play online. I play in survival mode with cheats but of course if you're using NEI ~~ you can always cheat can't ya!
Not being an expert by any means ( I still play 1.62 version). I'm really baffled. I can create, play in any other world ~~ just not this one. I'd really like to recover the world somehow but I don't know what / how I'd go about that.
Help is appreciated. If there's some other info I should include to figure this problem out, let me know. I'll find it!!
This is pretty self explanatory. Use more RAM. 1GB is often low for mods, you're running on 0.5GB. You've probably through till now because you use only 9 mods.
I have 2 GB of RAM on my computer.
My processor is an Intel Pentium Dual CPU E2200 2.20 GHz
32-bit Operating System
But MagicLauncher says 512 in the advanced settings.... I'll increase that to double (1024) & see what happens.
32 bit OS? Well, you won't be able to use more then 1GB anyway.
Wel, don't know much regarding 3264 bit OS &how they both interact with ram...... BUT,
I DID increase the java memory in MagicLauncher to 1024 to see what happened.
My world opened..... but it's full of void areas. I can't travel more than 25 or so (estimating) blocks before you reach a void.
When I closed the file, the screen said 'shutting down internal server' but it sat there for 30 minutes & never did anything. I
had to use task manager to close it down.
I don't really think that my computer's memory capabilities is the problem with the file. When you look at the MagicLaunher log, it appears (to me anyway) that the minecraft is trying to place a bat, but can't. I tried to copy the log but it's too big (I'm guessing) because the button freezes & you can't seem to paste anything to any file.
Here's a couple of the final lines in the ML log file ~~
2014-05-20 11:28:48 [SEVERE] [Minecraft-Server] Wrong location! Entity Bat [ 'Bat' /13298, 1='moms big world', x=-790.30, y=55.10, z=-1570.70]
2014-05-20 11:28:48 [INFO] [STDERR] at java.lang.exception.stacktrace at java.lang.Thread.dumpstack (unknown source)
2014-05-20 11:28:48 [INFO] [STDERR] at net.minecraft.world.chunk.Chunk.func_76612_a (Chunk.java:904)
There's a few more lines but unless it's needed info, won't list it.
The main thing is the SEVERE line. It's listed over & over & over in the ML log file. Each time the 'Bat' /13298 goes up by 1. So that the entry before had 'Bat' /13297, before that had 'Bat' /13296, before that it had 'Bat' / 13295 ~~~ I'm sure you get the picture.
You can scroll through the log file backwards & the number keeps reducing by 1.
So, that's how I'm concluding that it's trying to place a bat in the mines that I'm in but can't. Still, just a guess on my part.
Is it a lost cause at this point???
