I'm running into a bit of a problem getting Forestry and Thermal Expansion to work together and it's starting to drive me a bit nuts. At first I was getting the following crash message:

It took me a bit to figure out that that particular error was an ID conflict since my coding ablitlities are for some very basic html tags and every other ID conflict I've run into generated a 'there is an ID conflict; check your ID conflict txt for details' message. Subsequent fidling with the contested ID in the Forestry mod's config file either generates an ID conflict within the mod itslef or the following crash report:

I have seen these two mods co-exist from both playing Agrarian Skies from Feed the Beast and from watching varrious Lets Plays/Tutorials on Youtube so in theory I shouldn't have to choose only one to use, but I have no idea how to fix the issue or if the issue is even fixable. Any help in fixing the issue would be greatly appreciated.

Typically that's caused by putting a block over the 4085 limit, but I've seen it happen when an item gets overwritten... could you either post your ForgeModLoader-client-0.log in spoilers, or if it's too big, post it on pastebin and send a link? I bet we could get more info from that.
If I knew where to find either thing, sure. I fully admit that when it comes to things like this I'm very much a newbie.
It will be in your minecraft folder before 1.7, your logs folder after... Pastebin.com is a free site where you can post large logs. When you paste something, it will give you a url you can share.
So then, since I don't have the patience to manually input a large number of item IDs in hopes of finding The One that won't conflict, I'm pretty much stuck having to decide which of the two mods I want to use more? That is rather disappointing.
Well I ended up having to do a re-install of pretty much all of my mods which did end up giving me a item ID I could use to (hopefully) get the two mods to work together - only now I'm getting yet another crash report which makes no sense to me since it doesn't match what the other two were saying (and can be found here: http://pastebin.com/iyAytBnT).

It took me a bit to figure out that that particular error was an ID conflict since my coding ablitlities are for some very basic html tags and every other ID conflict I've run into generated a 'there is an ID conflict; check your ID conflict txt for details' message. Subsequent fidling with the contested ID in the Forestry mod's config file either generates an ID conflict within the mod itslef or the following crash report:

It will be in your minecraft folder before 1.7, your logs folder after... Pastebin.com is a free site where you can post large logs. When you paste something, it will give you a url you can share.
