I tried getting help in the original thread, but that didn't work out so well.
So, I've recently switched back over to Windows from Linux and I'm running into an issue with installation... It's been awhile since I've fiddled with mods here.
When I double click the jar, the terminal pulls up briefly for 2 seconds then closes. I've tried opening with 'java' and 'javaw' but neither seems to work. (checked both Program files and Program files x86)
Before people suggest that I use magic launcher/forge, I do not wish to use either of them, as simple as it may be. I want to know why I cannot double click and install the file. This worked just fine on Kubuntu. It's also worth noting that the file is unblocked.
