one of my world gets stuck on downloading terrain
I have to close it by clicking x
but my pc didnt freeze
while I am able to open other ones...
this just happened last week
I've been playing for about a month
and last week this problematic world started to act alitte weird
first my minecart wouldnt work, then i couldnt put minecart on the track
then i got stuck in my mine cart...
then my world started to show black landscape
I googled all of the above while I encounter them
I think I have a glitch of some sort but I didnt find any specific ways to fix them
(i rebooted, updated and updated java, give the game 2GB and turn some settings on and off that kind of things.....) while I walked into the black landscape part I fell thru to the bottom (i think i was able to fly back up)
and last weekend, i got stuck on "downloading terrain"
I think i have a corrupted map?
so I googled again and downloaded MCEdit to try to repair region
but I'm not really sure if I did it right....
(it said something like go to console to read details? but I dont know what that is >"<)

and I dont know what to do
If your world got corrupted you can try to repair it with MCEdit. Open the offending world in MCEdit, press 'ctrl-i' and select 'Repair regions' in the dialogue which pops up. Once this has completed, save your world and exit MCEdit.
You may also need to remove entities. In order to remove entities from a map, follow these steps. Warning: This will delete any and all entities in the selected region, including tamed animals!

OK u got 1 Chunk with 24000 Entities. (Removed.)
And u got 1 defect/not present Chunk. (I regenerate it)
-I only have 1 Person at the moment they got his world more then 1 times screw up. (he play a lot around with MC-Edit)
-Not loading Chunks came from time to time, special if minecraft handle a lot of data. Only to be worry if the still there after u enter them or u reload minecraft. ,-)
um... how do I open it?
i moved it into the saves folder... but what i have in there is actually different to what i have in minecraft??
If u depacking the file simply inside u minecraft save folder or move it after depacking, windows maybe dont put the new fiels in place.
(Rename or delete u old world and than depack my Fixfile in u "save" folder.)

Look if u see inside the "save" folder the fix world folder "Brave New World" and in them the normal minecraft World folders (like "stats", "region", "DIM1", "DIM-1" . . . )
and the "level.dat" file.
P.s.:
Looks like u use the fast depack option from WINRAR and chuse "Depack to Brave New World".

Retired StaffYou may also need to remove entities. In order to remove entities from a map, follow these steps. Warning: This will delete any and all entities in the selected region, including tamed animals!

U can try the Commandline Tool "Minecraft-Region-Fixer" to fix u world:

If u meen the "Minecraft-Region-Fixer" u command line in batch have to look like:
For removing defect chunks:
region-fixer --dw "C:\Users\WINDOWSNAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves\WORLDNAME"
For removing massive entities:
region-fixer --de "C:\Users\WINDOWSNAME\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\saves\WORLDNAME"
Make it easy for u.
Try Copy u world in the save folder and rename to "world". After fixing u can rename it again. .-)
(The tool don't like Special Charakter in the Path Name.)
