Minecraft is laggier than usual

Minecraft used to run 40-60 fps and using around 400mb RAM on my decent laptop. But, now the game is running at 15 fps and abnormally reaching 1600mb memory. I have searched for solutions and nothing has brought back that 40-60 fps.

Please help, thanks in advance.

It's happening on any world. Singleplayer and multiplayer.

I just uninstalled then reinstalled my entire Minecraft and Java. The problem is still there.
