My computer is about $2500. My processor is $1000 and my GPU is $450, and both are overclocked as well.. I am even running Optifine on the lowest settings I can. But when I look at a lot of players, it drops way below 60!
I don't see how my fps can even drop to 60. I get atleast 120 on Battlefield 4 on Max Settings. Anyone wanna help me out? It isn't just players, but mobs too.

This comparison doesn't make any sense, the two games function completely differently from each other. Battlefield's worlds are not made up of little cubes that you can dynamically interact with in real time, as far as I know any ways.
What game version and Java version are you running? Latest video drivers? Have you made sure the game is using your proper GPU instead of an on-board adapter (if relevant)? Does the game correctly switch the GPU to full performance mode (if relevant)? There definitely is something strange going on, if my 5 year old budget machine can keep up with yours.

I compared the two because Minecraft is made of BLOCKS and I can play a ultra-realistic game like Battlefield 4 and still get a much higher fps count.
Anyways, I am using 1.7.2 with Optifine.
Java version: 1.7.0_55.
AMD Catalyst version: 14.4
I am not sure if my graphics card switches to full performance mode when in Minecraft.
I just now opened up Minecraft and went to a spot where I get low fps. Here is a screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/dmD7Est.png
