I know its been asked a million times, and I have read at least 1000 threads...............
Starts with a modified Black Screen. Press "E"............and so forth. Never moves from there.
Here is what I have tried:
Loaded Java 6
Loaded Java 7
Loaded both 6 and 7
Disabled Firewall
Disabled Avast
Deleted Avast
Updated drivers
New install of Vista Business
Updated all Vista Business
Updated optional Vista Business downloads
Allowed exceptions in Firewall
Allowed exceptions in Avast
Hardware is somewhat dated Core2Duo with higher end ATI integrated Graphics
Tried all versions of 1.7.*
The launcher seems to load fine, once Play is clicked, a few moments later the Black Screen shows up, with multiple boxes in the lower part of the screen. Press "E" in the upper part. Leaving it for many minutes (20 or so) will yeaild something of a background, but nothing identifiable.
We need to see what is in your Development Console, which can be found on the second tab of the launcher.
First, copy all of the text (right click on any empty space, press "Copy All Text"). Then, go to http://paste.ubuntu.com/ and paste it. Click 'Create Paste', then share with us the link (the URL) that it takes you to.
