I don't know if I'm posting this in the right place or not but here we go...

My friend has a similar laptop in specs as I do and she gets no lag whatsoever. so I want to know why do I have a lot?

I have an Acer Aspire 5552 Series Laptop, and before you start, it is a notebook. However,. I pass the tests on the Can YOU Run It site so.

Maybe you have ur settings to high for ur pc

I can put it on tiny and it still lags...

Also when I play and I look at task manager, my cpu usage is at like 20% and my memory is at 1.26 GB when I play, if that helps at all...

First make sure to put all your settings on the lowest possible. I would put your render distance on halfway, since your running 64bit and it won't really matter what distance you put it on. Next install forge, then optifine. It shouldn't lag then, but if it does you can set your affinity to all your processors and set the minecraft-java applications priority to High/Real-Time. This will make your minecraft much faster. If none of those methods help, then try and allocate more RAM to your game. There are lots of videos on youtube that teach you how to do all of this. Thanks for all of the tips but I have tried every one of those things and it still lags. I have even tried Game Booster and still, to no avail. I have no idea why it lags though, I have good enough specs to run Minecraft and still.

Does anybody have any more helpful tips or anything I could do to make Minecraft run faster? This is really annoying me because I bought it and I'm fine with a little lag but this isn't even playable.
