I'm sorry if this has been asked a lot before, but has Rei's Minimap for 1.7.2 been released, or is it still too early for a release?

And also, pertaining to the topic of modded client support, when modding with 1.7.2, do I need to use Forge or ModLoader? If so, do you have to add one of those in the profile's .jar along with the files for the mod for it to work?

Sorry if I sounded a bit clueless. I haven't played Minecraft since 1.4 or so and this is kind of a big change for me.

you should use forge as most modloader mods work with forge and forge has an auto installer and forge is now on a stable build

Yes, Rei minimap official does not release. But has one version of rei minimap working.

You can go to here to download Rei’s Minimap 1.7.2

You could download voxelmap has less compatibility issues.
