One day, I opened up my Minecraft 1.7.2 and entered a world. My game started lagging like crazy until it just stopped responding. A little window popped up saying, "Java™ ... ... is not responding" or something like that, so I clicked the close button. I figured it had something to do with my Java, so I went over to the Java site and got the new update. I also checked if my nVidia drivers were up to date, and they were. I opened up MC again, but the problem was still there. I did a bit more research and found that people who had the same problem fixed it by changing Render Distance to Normal. I did that on my game, and it worked for awhile. After about 5 minutes of lag-free playing, the same thing started happening again. I decided to stop trying to fix it 'cause I got tired. The next day, I started up MC and now it won't even let me into the world. It just loads and sends me back to the main menu.
It doesn't crash anymore. It just sends me back to the main menu. And when I try to enter a world again, this shows up: http://s29.postimg.o...eenshot_378.png and then stops responding.
OH WAIT: It stops responding but the launcher doesn't give me a crash report. I got this from the dev console though

Ok, so I made a backup of my saves and deleted my .minecraft folder. I re-installed MC, re-installed the mods and put the save files back. I thought I'd be starting again with a clean Minecraft, but the lagging is still there. At least it comes and goes this time. Sometimes it lags, and sometimes it plays perfectly smoothly. Please help.
