I really didn't want to have to make this topic, considering there are multiple tutorials and FAQs about how to download mods, but none of them I came across seem to cover this specific topic I am having an issue with. The thing is I shouldn't be having this issue at all.
I am using Minecraft 1.5.2 and I am trying to enable Treecapitator. I have both the required core mod and the treecapitator mod itself, both the correct 1.5.2 builds. The thing is that given this is 1.5.2 it asks me to put treecapitator into core mods rather than mods. However when I put the mod into the right folder, it doesn't activate. I tried putting both the required BspkrsCore mod and Treecapitator into the Coremods folder and it does nothing either. I then tried putting them both into mods despite how core mods are supposed to go into the core mod folder in all versions older than 1.6, and only then do the mods even register in the mod list, but because in the older versions core mods cannot work outside the core mos folder treecapitator still wont work.
Is there a problem with my core mods folder? Because honestly I should be able to get these two mods to work by putting them in my core mods folder in 1.5.2.
Similarly other core mods I have don't want to work in core mods and unlike treecapitator they will work in the mods folder, which is another thing that confuses the heck out of me on this issue.
