I am trying to install multiple mods. I have followed every youtube tutorial i can find and nothing is working. i asked my bf for help bc hes a minecraft master, but he couldnt figure it out either. i just need somebody to walk me through it.

Please explain "nothing is working". What exactly is going wrong? Is there an error or are they just not being applied?
the ones i have tried so far, nowhere near the amount i want, are Zan'z Minimap, applied energistics, morph, and orespawn. there is no error, theyre just not working when i launch the game. ive tried downloading Forge and playing in 1.7.2.
