So I've been playing with my friend on a LAN server with a few large and small mods. Until recently everything was fine but as we continued I noticed I would receive a small lag spike every 30 seconds or so. It was fine but as we continued playing the lag happened more frequently; every 20; 10; and would rest at every 5 seconds.The game was becoming unbearable as it would be next to impossible to fight a single mob.I would get nearly 100-300 frames with optifine but the problem continued. In the F3 menu it would never show me drop below 100 frames and sometimes even go up to 400 during the spikes. I thought i would be just a server thing but it would even effect my single player world. We were playing with these mods for about a week before the problem started showing up. I don't know what to do anymore, please help.

I've been having the exact same issue with more mods. It's ridiculous, and I've been unable to find any sort of solution for it. I've tried setting the priority to high, locking what processor it uses, and upping the RAM, but nothing seems to help.
