There is a problem that is occurring in minecraft. Each time I face a different direction or any direction my fps drops to 30 and stays there or in a few seconds goes back up to 60 fps. I have installed optifine but it does not help. This is also with vsync on. I usually get 190+ on fullsceen without vsync. I have updated all my video card drivers.
Don't use Vsync. Minecraft's FPS limiting is borked and impacts performance no matter how powerful your rig is.
There's more to it than that.
Running the same version of Minecraft and Optifine, I didn't have this issue when I was using an NVidia Quadro 2000.
But when I switched to a GeForce GTX 750 Ti, I started having this problem.
It seems to be triggered by things that have a high render impact, like roofed forests.
If I look at them, constant steady 30fps exactly. Not just performance impact, framerate capping.
As soon as I look away, it returns to normal.
There's got to be a better solution than ignoring the screen-tearing, or switching back to my old GPU.
