Hey everyone. I've seen many people (not only here but on other sites) having issues with the Life in the Woods modpack, same issues I was having when I installed it at first. There is a solution for them, even though it is just a partial solution, you will be able to play the modpack without losing any significant stuff.
I've read that the issue was being caused by Dynamic Lights, but that is not the case, although it can generate FPS lag on some computers, that isn't the reason you're getting the crashes. There is an issue with Underground Biomes and Better Signs, and removing those two mods from your mod folder will make the crashing go away.
I've done so and I'm currently playing without any issues whatsoever. Hope this helps!
UPDATE: I managed to fix it completely, you need to access the underground biomes .cfg file in your config folder located in your .minecraft folder and change the item id's you se at first, the ons that go from 2000 to 2011 or so, change each of them to another number, I used 3558 to 3569.
The issue was an ID conflict between some flowers used in Biomes O' Plenty and some blocks from Underground Biomes.

Simply removed "Better Signs," and it launched.
I tried changing the number on Underground Biomes, still crashed
I removed Underground Biomes all together, still crashed
I removed Underground Biomes AND Better Signs, STILL CRASHED!
PLEASE can someone help! I REALLY want to play this modpack, I love the concept of it and I can't stop thinking about it!
If anyone knows how to fix this with a mac computer that would be amazing
