So I installed the latest version of Optifine (Standard), entered a new world, and all of a sudden the screen turns a wierd blue-pink color and this pops up. I can't play any old worlds either. What should I do?

Yeah- same thing happened to me as well. It was weird. When I first installed it, it didn't give me any menu options (sliders didn't work, all the buttons were labeled, but had no "on/off" or levels for them) other than the normal graphic settings. Went back, used MCPatcher to install Forge (for Millenaire), manually installed Optifine last, and then started having this issue. My error report:

However, I can't confirm the old worlds thing. Just recently migrated computers, so I only have the one.

I need MCPatcher for DokuCraft and optifine to fix my lag.

at least u can add optifine, when ever i open winrar to install it winrar tells me thats its has a "unexpeted ending"
when i try to add it into the minecraft.jar it says that the files is corrupt, i have tired this with every 1.5 version of optifine, every one twice
if any one can explain this and possibly tell me what to do, pls do so, thnx in advance

I had this problem too, but it doesn't even load the game. When I press "play" on the launcher, it'll look like it's loading the game but instead of the title screen I got a crash report. I was using:

TooManyItems

WorldEdit

whenever i try to use optifine or any shaders i get an error report that says ... "failed to write core dump, mini dumps are not availible on the client version of windows.

it doesnt do this when i dont use optifine. i cant get it to let me use it. i will start up mc, and everything looks like it will be fine but then when i load a world , ten seconds in it crashes and i get that error. PLEASE HAAALP
