PLEASE HELP ME!!!
I've run out of ideas and nothing i've tried has worked.
Last night I was trying to use the 1.5.1. diamond glitch. I was playing the other day trying to duplicate some alchemy items and the dupe wasn't working like normal. I just figured there was just certain items that couldn't be duped. So I tried to do the same process on some arrows....
For those of you not familiar with the glitch, you basically would throw the items you wanted to duplicate on the floor, save and exit the game. Next you'd go back into the world, pick up the items and open your inventory screen. Once there you would red exit out and relaunch the game. You'd find that you'd have doubled up.
Going back to the arrows...
When I opened the world back up again after doing the above process the arrows where gone!! To my shock and horror I decided to quit using this method. Anyways, last night I needed a lot of diamonds and when I tried to dupe them using this method I found that my entire world was gone! Just gone from the start up screen.
I use MCBACKUP.exe - Minecraft Backup and regularly save my progress for this very reason. Everytime I try to restore the game using this method, it fails!
I have an external hard drive that I put my minecraft files on. I tried loading my world off the external HD and still my world does not show up.
I'm at a lose here fellow crafters. I've had this world for a long time and have a backup file saved from april of 2012. I don't want to lose my world, but at this point I don't know what else to do!?!! The weird part is nothing is erased. If I looked in my world folder I can still see that it's in there. I guess I got a little too greedy switching from my modded version to 1.5.1. and back
Please help!!
RobPS:
I run Minecraft on a windows XP PC. I only have REI's map mod running right now.
Thank god I was finally able to fix my problem!!!!
If this happens to anyone else this is the solution. It was rather simple really. In my /.minecraft/saves/ folder I created a new world(Terra Nova) and copied all the data from my old world(Night City) into the directory and POOF!!! Back in action!!!
Thank god! I'd hate to lose 3 years of countless hours building my own little world just to dupe some diamonds. Guess I'm going to have to go and dig for them the hard way now.
Best of luck to anyone with similar problem!
