I get this message when loading a modded 1.6.4 world.
Fix: !! Routing thread eating up all of cpu !!
and it's true, cpu usage goes through the roof on task manager, it actually has caused a couple computer crashes for me now.
It's a modded 1.6.4, about 25 mods running, only a few big ones like Galaticraft, Project red, and Tinkers Construct. I've never had this issue on 1.6.4, even when having vastly more mods installed, still ran just fine. Also in an unmodded 1.7.5, I get no issues regarding cpu allocation.
My computer's specs are decent enough. 8g of ram, i5 processor, Nvidia GTX 660 non TI gpu, can run nearly any game on high to max settings.
I'd post an error report, however my computer crashes far before the game does due to apparent issues with my motherboard. Just wondering if anyone has any clue why it's doing this now?
I also recieved this error today, and am too running near 25 mods on 1.6.4, only a couple of which are 'big', have similar specs on my computer, but do not recieve a computer crash. after restarting the computer and the server, I no longer recieved the error. Perhaps it's a background thread the server created that's rogue now? Maybe you could try a restart and see if you're still getting the error?

A quick bump and update, I can prevent java from eating all of my resources by editing it's affinity settings in windows task manager, I removed one of the processor cores that was being used, and although the error still pops up and 3 of my 4 cores are maxed out, it seems to work fine again without crashing my computer. This could be a java problem, but it's strange that this only happens now since I haven't updated java in several months.
I am getting the exact same error. I just downloaded the techniclauncher to try to play Attack of the B Team Mod and I recieved the error upon first logging in and within 20 seconds get extreme lag which makes the game unplayable. Unmodded Minecraft doesn't give me any problems.
I was wondering if there is a way to uninstall the technic launcher and try reinstalling it again? Just deleting the file doesn't do the trick and I couldn't find the techniclauncher in my remove programs. I hope we get a solution here, because I am in the same boat as you.

The technic files are in the same directory as your .minecraft, should be %appdata% and then delete .technic
I believe one of the mods is messing with resource allocation, I'll do some tests to see if I'm correct.

Thank you so much! I'd like to retry installing it, because I did try moving the file and probably touched something I shouldn't have. Tech wizard I am not. Good luck! I'll keep checking back on this thread to see if any solutions arise.
I'm receiving the same problem but i don't crash i have a fx 8350 (8 cores @ 4.2GHZ) and they all get used up not crashing and the game seems to work fine, i'm running a tekkit server does anyone know how to update the server and client files to use 4.3.5?
It is still possible to get a log despite the system crashing. In the same folder as the launcher is located, create a file called "Run.bat" with the following content:
java -jar Minecraft.exe > log.txt 2>&1
If you use the JAR launcher instead of the EXE launcher from minecraft.net, obviously replace .exe with .jar. Save and run the file. The launcher will pop up, and everything is logged live to a file called log.txt.
If you're using Mac or Linux, be sure to name the file "Run.sh" instead.

Didn't seem to fix the issue.

I'll do some tests quickly.
Indeed it did.
