Hello I'm a typical gamer who's running windows vista and been playing Minecraft Feed the Beast (modded Minecraft). But, after months of working fine I suddenly get
"Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine."
Every time I try and launch but for some reason I can still launch normal Minecraft but not any third party Minecraft launchers.
Also, before I get the same solutions I've been trying for the past week I've already tried using a different version of Java, and I've already tried fully updating Java with no success. Then I found that it was possibly because I was allocating to much RAM to Feed the Beast. So I lowered my RAM trying again and again from 256mg to my max 4g none of which fixed this. I then tried just reinstalling all of my Feed the Beast files to see if those made a difference, nope. Then I found a page I thought
would finally fix it,
http://www.tomshardw...fix-create-j...
Which says
" Open the Control Panel
Go to System
Go to Advanced Systems Properties
Then Environment Variables
In System Variables, click Add
New Variable Name: _JAVA_OPTIONS
New Variable Value: -Xmx512M
Click OK"
With high hopes I did this but it did not work either, now I am terribly frustrated at looking at other people outdated or different scenario forums so I decided to ask where I know I might get some help. Anyway, if anybody has any ideas I beg you to let me know because I'm all out of ideas myself. Thanks

I don't think what that page suggests is correct, I have never heard of adding that variable.
I would suggest uninstalling every Java instance off your computer and download+install the newest versions, I like to have both 32 and 64 bit versions. Sometimes when you use the Java updater it will layer on top of other versions and eventually break. I have had that happen several times.
Well updating Java and a quick restart should really fix the issue. If it hasnt can you please show the latest crash report, even if it looks the exact same.

I have tried reinstalling Java, I've tried deleteing every Java version and update then reinstalling with no success. Also, here are my system specs using dxdiag. Here are those.

One thing that is confusing me is that your console is printing a lot of things about Java 6. If you have both 6 and 7 installed it may be confusing it. If you dont i would suggest looking through your task manager for any out of place programs that may be causing this.

I tried reinstalling everything Java I had to Java 7 update 51 64 bit and this is my new console log Also I now get another message accompanying the Java error. This one says. "Error: A fatal exception has occured. Program will exit."
