I am having a graphics issue. When I destroy a block or cause my screen to redraw often i will see a far-off view as if the close blocks are transparent. For example i might be at the surface and all of a sudden i can see the lava rivers way below, but not see directly in front of me.
I only using optifine and a texture mod.
I know that a description of a graphics problem is not nearly as useful as a picture, so I took a screenshot. where are these screenshots kept? I cant find them. Also how do i go about uploading these to my media library so i can display it here?
If you have the AMD 14.1 beta graphics drivers, you should follow the directions in this post to downgrade to version 13.1. This is a known issue with that version of drivers. Additionally, screenshots are found in C:\Users\(your windows username)\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft on Windows and /Users/(your mac username)/Library/Application Support/minecraft on a Mac.
If my solution does not work, or you do not have AMD graphics drivers, please post the following info to help me figure out the problem:
Your Minecraft version
Your Optifine version
The name and version of the texture mod you are using

I have an nVidia GTX760 vid card, 332.21 driver version
I am running MC1.7.4
Both the Faerielight 1.7.4 (256x256) and MojoCraft v9 (384x384) texture mods have the problem happen. I am going to check out a few more texture packs to see if they have the same issue or not.
And Optifine 1.7.4
I dont have any web space to post a screenshot, see the last portion of the original post.

Update:
I upgraded my video drivers to the most current, did a clean install.
I still have the issue and across every texture i have tried.
I upped my memory available to Java to 2GB, and while its hard to quantize, i think it happens less but i cant be sure.
This is frustrating and makes the game unplayable. Does no one have any ideas?

hmm.. this is also the same issue I am having with my modded minecraft. and when i play vanilla on a different profile, nothing is wrong, lol
is 1.7.2. just 'that' buggy?
Actually I have found the problem, I cant take the credit, its in the optifine thread if you care to see who supplied the info.
Turn off "Threaded Optimization" is the nvidia control panel, if you dont have nvidia, i think you have to turn off multicore loading in the vid settings (not completely sure about this, check the optifine thread to doublecheck.)

Moderatoralso, screenshots are in your .minecraft folder, in the screenshots folder
Here is a screenshot:
Note the chickens that appear to be in the air because the found is transparent and also the lava rivers below are visible
You mean mipmap to 0?
This made no difference.
This will nearly always happen when the furnace goes on or off.
