Hi! I have a question about putting two clients on one profile. I am fully aware that you can put the jar and json file in a folder then put the folder in the versions file and use that release when starting up minecraft 1.7.4, .5.
I tried putting in two different jar and jsons calling them the same thing but they say that u cant put the same named file in the same folder. Soooooooo any help?

Nope.
Mojang's launcher detect the name of the folder, XXX.jar, XXX.json and the details inside XXX.json.
You have to separate both into a different folder.
