can someone please help me i let someone install optifine and it skrewed up my settings and i just want for them to be like they should be. i might have deleted optifine but it wont restore the settings. HELP ME PLEEAASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First of all, you can set all the settings in the options menu under "video settings". Second, if you want to remove it properly, just force update. Third, optifine doesn't change settings, it adds more. All of which are also available in video settings.
When i said that it skrewed up my settings i did mean that it added more and it makes it confusing for me and didnt want them. i just want for it to be like they meant it to be. also how to i force update?
Click the "Edit Profile" button at the bottom left.
Click "Open Game Dir" at the bottom right.
Go to "Versions".
Delete the folder of the version you were using. So if you were using 1.7.5, for example, then you need to delete the folder called "1.7.5".
Start minecraft again, and when it notices it can't find the folder, it will re-download it automatically, and re-start you with plain, un-modded, vanilla minecraft.
well crap i did it exactly as you said and in the launcher i even saw it say that it redownloaded it but the settings are still the same... thanks for your help even though im a mod noob

I made my own shader pack, by the way.
